Make sure that you have downloaded the 2 pieces of software necessary for this installation, otherwise please download the software from this page.
1. Opera bespoke installation
Install DLZAHARA_O3_VFP_Setup_XX.XX.exe
Run UDS
2. Service/Client installation
Run ZaharaOperaSyncSetup_X.X.X.exe
The default installation path is C:\Program Files\Diskel\ZaharaOperaSync but you can change this if required. If you install to Program Files, then you need to run Notepad as administrator when editing any of the config files.
Permissions: make sure that users have access to the ZahraOperaSync folder.
3. Configuration
3.1 SERVER Configuration
Go to C:\Program Files\Diskel\ZaharaOperaSync\SERVER and open the file "appsettings.json"
Edit the file to put in the SQL server name.

Restart the ‘Zahara Opera Sync Service’ service for the new changes to take effect
(If you get an error when starting the service please make sure that the folder C:\ProgramData\Diskel\Zahara exists. Create these folders manually otherwise)
NOTE: If you have an instance name, e.g. SERVER\SQLEXPRESS then use a double backslash for the setting. E.g. SERVER\\SQLEXPRESS
Check that SQL server NT AUTHORITY login is dbcreator. Go to SQL Management Studio>Server Roles> Logins> NT Authority\System > Right Click >Properties> Server Roles tick the dbcreator role if it has not been set.

4. Create the database
Open an Internet browser (Chrome works best) and go to http://localhost:5021
NOTE: If nothing appears, make sure the service is running. If you need to change any values in appsettings.json then the service needs to be restarted to pick up the new settings and the web page refreshed.
You should see something similar to:

Click on Update and you should get:

Click on Add Users to give

Enter licence details: Opera licence number (without the letter) and the Zahara O3 Interface Licence Key.

The database will be created and you will see the confirmation screen:

5. Configure the Client
Configure the Client section within http://localhost:5021
You don't need to use double backslash on this screen.

6. Set up the scheduled task to run the Zahara Service
Set up a Windows scheduled task to run the Client\ZaharaOperaSync.exe program with the frequency desired.
Make sure that the Action of the Scheduled Task has
C:\Program Files\Diskel\ZaharaOperaSync\Client in the Start In Field.

7. Test that Sync is working as scheduled
Check results in lastrun.txt which is located within C:\ProgramFiles\Diskel\ZaharaOperaSync\Client to make sure it worked.
